Peju Winery is a family-owned winery located in Napa Valley, California, known for its high-quality wines and beautiful setting. Founded in 1982 by Tony and Herta Peju, the winery has a long history of producing wine from grapes grown in its own vineyards. Today, the winery is run by the second generation of the Peju family, including winemaker Ariana Peju.
Peju’s vineyards are located in the heart of Napa Valley, in the appellations of Rutherford, Oakville, and St. Helena. The winery grows a variety of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are sustainably farmed, with an emphasis on preserving the natural ecosystem and protecting the health of the vines.
The wine making process at Peju begins with the careful selection of ripe grapes from the winery’s vineyards. The grapes are then crushed and fermented, and the resulting wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of time before it is bottled and released for sale. Peju uses a combination of traditional winemaking techniques and modern technology to produce wines of the highest quality.
Peju’s wines are known for their rich, full flavors and elegant, balanced structure. The winery produces a range of wine styles, including red wines, white wines, and sparkling wines. Some of the winery’s most popular wines include its Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Provence-style rosé. The winery also produces small-batch, limited-edition wines, available only to members of its wine club.
In addition to its wine making operations, Peju also operates a tasting room and a popular garden patio, where visitors can sample the winery’s wines and enjoy beautiful views of Napa Valley. The winery also offers tours and wine education classes for those interested in learning more about the wine making process.
Peju Winery is a respected and beloved winery in Napa Valley, known for its commitment to producing high-quality wines and its dedication to sustainability and conservation. It is a must-visit destination for wine lovers visiting the region.

a month agoDuring our visit, we had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful surroundings of this Napa Valley winery. The outdoor area resembled a peaceful garden, featuring charming sculptures and a stylish building with an old charm. The entrance, adorned with a unique arch, led us to a souvenir shop offering a variety of items, including wines and scented candles, from which we purchased some delightful gifts. We look forward to returning for a wine-tasting experience during our next visit.

5 months agoI had a great tasting experience at Peju where the wines were exceptional and the service and servers (particularly Harvey) were great. We regretted doing the Peju tasting first because it made our other experience and the wines, at a different Winery, appear so mediocre. They are also very kid friendly, I was there with a 4 and 7 year old and the kids enjoyed talking to Harvey and playing with wine corks. The stained glass cab franc is one of my favorites, but they have many small batch wines that taste amazing.

5 months agoPoor customer service!!!! I would not go there as they are not open until 6. We went at 5:30 and waited for 10 minutes and they said no to us, saying their wine tasting in 90mins. Asked if they would be willing to offer one drink, they said no. If you are open to certain time and advertise that, own it. Don't say you are open until 6, if you don't take any guests beyond 430.

2 months agoWe stopped here seeing the walk-ins welcome sign. We bought two $65 tastings. We were seated in a room with glass tables and fine wine glassware. We had a five wine tasting and were given an extra of there best selling wine. The process lasted about an hour with a host who explained the offerings and possible food pairings. It seems that a good majority of the wineries are offering these experiences. As I sat through the process I realized I was listening to a sales pitch. It was like someone trying to sell you a timeshare. We did end up buying 4 bottles which waived one of the tasting fees. But in the end, I would have preferred to buy a flight of my choice and sample at my pace.

10 months agoThis winery is a 100% must for me every time I go to Napa Valley! The grounds are absolutely stunning and the wine is top notch. I can't think of a time that I haven't left with several bottles of the cab. In fact, I saved a bottle from 2006 until my wedding in 2021 and it was just gorgeous after it had "aged" in the bottle and moved several times. It was such a special moment sharing it with my husband. Love Peju!
