Peju Winery is a family-owned winery located in Napa Valley, California, known for its high-quality wines and beautiful setting. Founded in 1982 by Tony and Herta Peju, the winery has a long history of producing wine from grapes grown in its own vineyards. Today, the winery is run by the second generation of the Peju family, including winemaker Ariana Peju.

Peju’s vineyards are located in the heart of Napa Valley, in the appellations of Rutherford, Oakville, and St. Helena. The winery grows a variety of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are sustainably farmed, with an emphasis on preserving the natural ecosystem and protecting the health of the vines.

The wine making process at Peju begins with the careful selection of ripe grapes from the winery’s vineyards. The grapes are then crushed and fermented, and the resulting wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of time before it is bottled and released for sale. Peju uses a combination of traditional winemaking techniques and modern technology to produce wines of the highest quality.

Peju’s wines are known for their rich, full flavors and elegant, balanced structure. The winery produces a range of wine styles, including red wines, white wines, and sparkling wines. Some of the winery’s most popular wines include its Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Provence-style rosé. The winery also produces small-batch, limited-edition wines, available only to members of its wine club.

In addition to its wine making operations, Peju also operates a tasting room and a popular garden patio, where visitors can sample the winery’s wines and enjoy beautiful views of Napa Valley. The winery also offers tours and wine education classes for those interested in learning more about the wine making process.

Peju Winery is a respected and beloved winery in Napa Valley, known for its commitment to producing high-quality wines and its dedication to sustainability and conservation. It is a must-visit destination for wine lovers visiting the region.

The best winery we discovered on this trip. The wines here are distinctly different from the ones we usually drink. Scott’s explanations enhanced the flavors and aromas of the wines, making the tasting experience even more enjoyable. The wines were exceptional, making us think about perfect food pairings as we sipped. After listening to our preferences and the types of wines we enjoyed during the tasting, he generously offered us a few additional wines to try beyond the ones included in our tasting selection. In the end, their excellent recommendations led us to purchase a few bottles. The tasting fee was $65 per person, but since we purchased 4 bottles, they waived the tasting fees. Peju has now become the first winery we plan to revisit this fall.

During our visit, we had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful surroundings of this Napa Valley winery. The outdoor area resembled a peaceful garden, featuring charming sculptures and a stylish building with an old charm. The entrance, adorned with a unique arch, led us to a souvenir shop offering a variety of items, including wines and scented candles, from which we purchased some delightful gifts. We look forward to returning for a wine-tasting experience during our next visit.

Peju is one of our favorite wineries because of the beautiful art, estate grounds, a great selection of souvenirs, and of course the hosting and wines. It’s not only a good wine tasting venue but a good place for a date with the garden, art work and walking space. The Venue: There is the hand-crafted wooden doors, soaring ceiling, a mezzanine, an open room; artwork, crystal decanters and wine shop with local merchandise. It is a peaceful estate showcasing impeccable lawns, the gardens, the koi pond (no Koi’s now). They were poisoned:(The wine: fantastic red blends. It’s a reprieve from the normal in your face cabernets. Top 10 wine destination in Napa.

Fantastic winery. Beautiful, family-owned and run. The wine is some of the best we had. We did our tasting with Todd who was wonderful. Bought some wine to take home and will certainly be back!
