Pax Mahle Wines is a small, family-owned winery located in the heart of Sonoma County, California. The winery was founded in 2003 by Pax Mahle, who has been involved in the wine industry for over two decades.
Pax Mahle Wines is known for producing a range of high-quality, small-production wines that reflect the unique terroir of the various vineyards in which they are grown. The winery produces wines made from a variety of grape varieties, including Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache.
The vineyards that Pax Mahle Wines sources its grapes from are located in some of the most sought-after regions in Sonoma County, including the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, and Dry Creek Valley. These regions are known for their cool, maritime climates, which are well-suited to producing wines with bright, vibrant flavors and complex aromas.
Pax Mahle Wines uses traditional wine making techniques to produce its wines. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted, and fermentation is carried out using native yeasts. The wines are then aged in oak barrels for extended periods of time to help develop their complex flavors and aromas.
In addition to producing high-quality wines, Pax Mahle Wines is also committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The winery uses organic and biodynamic farming practices in its vineyards and has implemented a number of environmentally-friendly practices in its winemaking process.
Overall, Pax Mahle Wines is a small, family-owned winery that is dedicated to producing high-quality, small-production wines that reflect the unique terroir of the regions in which they are grown. The winery’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship sets it apart from many other wineries in the region.

5 months agoGreat spot to relax. Comfortable couches inside and relaxing patio furniture outside. Syrahs were excellent. Extensive charcuterie options. Enjoyed the tinned razor clams and the journey man salami. Baguette was heated on order.

5 months agoI came here on a recommendation from a wine enthusiast friend. They have an excellent selection of red wines--but I really want to highlight the incredible service my friends and I received. The staff were engaging, very informative, and very kind, even having recommendations in the area! Overall an awesome experience.

4 months agoWent with a group of 3. Cool vibe and location. Dan poured for us and felt he knew the wines and had a broad background. One of the Gamays stole the show for us and all the Syrahs were very well made.

4 months agoWhat a sad experience! I was seated outside of Pax on a Monday morning attempting to reschedule canceled flights from the recent internet upgrade debacle. Pax had not yet opened, and I didn’t realize that the picnic style tables in the alleyway even belonged to a specific business, let alone Pax. When a man began to set out couches and tables just in front of me, I just continued to work on my rebooking, etc. Then the man slammed a plant and sign on the table I was at and immediately said, “Yeah, we’re open now, you need to go lady.” His tone was rude, and aggressive. I shared that he didn’t need to treat me or anyone with such contempt and he became more belligerent, saying things like, “You are sitting on property of a business that you aren’t even patronizing.” Sadly for that man and for Pax, and really for all of us, a little humanity goes a long way, likewise inhumane treatment is also something that echoes beyond its immediate impact.
