Had an amazing time at this vineyard. It is a fantastic location with amazing views. The wine tasting we did was self guided and I loved seeing the process at my own pace. The views of the rest of the valley are stunning as you take a gondola up to their building. Their were five different wine tastings and I loved each one. If I lived in a state that would allow wine to be shipped to me, I would have signed up for Sterling. Definitely worth the visit!

I had an amazing experience touring this winery. Each tasting was excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The views from the winery were stunning, and the Gondola Ride to the reserve was perfect. We were able to join and become members, so now we can continue to enjoy their excellent selections! It was a memorable visit and definitely a highlight of our time in the vineyards.

I am so happy and thankful for such a wonderful experience, we celebrated my friend’s bachelorette yesterday, up in the Hilltop experience and Maurice was the cherry on top in our visit. Maurice gave us a detailed explanation of the region and wines but also tips on what dish would be the best fit with each wine we tried. Thank you Maurice we had a lovely time. I recommend the Hilltop experience to anyone reading this because you get to be inside with ac and enjoy a walk through the property. The last thing was the cleanliness of the entire property, it’s beautiful and clean. Looking forward to another visit soon.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Sterling! We booked the Tour & Terrace package which included 3 wines along a self guided tour and 3 wines as well as cheese at a seated table on their beautiful terrace. It also included the gondola ride which gave a stunning view of Napa Valley. All of the staff members were nice and informative and we were even allowed to keep a Sterling wine glass. We were able to take our time and enjoy walking around the winery as well as taking pictures on the terrace. Would recommend this experience to anyone! It was definitely the best value for the price out of all the places we visited this trip.

Sterling is one of the popular wineries to visit while in Calistoga, known for their gondola ride up. When it’s too hot they shuttle guests up to the tasting area. I haven’t been here in years but it’s about a 45 minute drive from downtown Napa. We came on a Monday afternoon and had a reservation tasting at 200pm and it was fairly busy, not too slow but quite of a flow. It was a bit hard to try to stay at a different pace from another group. The first white wine was really good chilled and that’s where you get you first glass. The servers were very kind and friendly. One guy sounded and sang like Dean Martin. Molly was our server at the end and she was so knowledgeable about the area and wines. The orange chili jam was so good with the crackers and cheese. Great place for photo ops and the building gives a very Greek Mediterranean feel.
