Vineland Estates Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario, Canada. The winery was founded in 1975 by Dr. Ivan G. Rebele, who had a passion for wine and saw the potential for producing world-class wines in the region.
The Niagara Peninsula has a unique microclimate that is well-suited to grape growing, and the region has a long history of winemaking. The region is influenced by the moderating effects of Lake Ontario, which helps to create a long growing season and relatively mild winters. This allows the grapes to fully ripen, which is essential for producing high-quality wines.
Vineland Estates Winery is situated on a 200-acre property, which includes acres of vineyards and a modern winemaking facility. The winery has several different vineyards, each planted with different grape varieties that are well-suited to the region’s climate and soil. Some of the grape varieties grown at Vineland Estates Winery include Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir.
The winery is known for producing a wide range of wines, from crisp whites to full-bodied reds. One of the winery’s most famous wines is its Cabernet franc ice wine, which is made from grapes that are left on the vine until they are frozen. This process allows the grapes to concentrate their flavors, resulting in a sweet, luscious wine with complex aromas and flavors. Vineland Estates Winery also produces a range of red wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, as well as white wines such as Riesling and Chardonnay.
In terms of wine making, Vineland Estates Winery uses traditional techniques and state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality wines. The winemaking team carefully monitors the grape-growing and wine-making process to ensure that each wine is of the highest quality. The grapes are hand-picked at the peak of ripeness, and are carefully sorted to remove any imperfections. They are then gently crushed and fermented, with the winemaking team paying close attention to the temperature and other factors to ensure that the flavors and aromas of the grapes are fully expressed in the finished wine.
After fermentation, the wines are aged in oak barrels to add complexity and depth of flavor. The length of aging varies depending on the wine, with some wines being aged for just a few months, while others are aged for several years. Once the wines are ready, they are bottled and labeled, and are then ready to be enjoyed by wine lovers around the world.
In addition to producing high-quality wines, Vineland Estates Winery is also committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The winery has implemented a number of practices to reduce its impact on the environment, including using renewable energy sources, conserving water, and reducing waste.
Vineland Estates Winery is a popular destination for wine lovers, who can visit the winery to learn more about the winemaking process, taste a variety of wines, and enjoy a meal at the winery’s on-site restaurant. The winery also has a team of highly trained wine educators who are available to lead tastings and tours of the winery for visitors.
In conclusion, Vineland Estates Winery is a leading producer of wines in the Niagara Peninsula region of Ontario, Canada. The winery has a rich history, and is known for its high-quality wines and its commitment to traditional

2 weeks agoMy wife and I went for our annual dinner at Vineland Estates last night and, as always, were blown away. We both opted for the chefs curated 5 course dinner with wine pairings and it was amazing. We love this meal as it allows us to try things that we wouldn’t normally order. Every course was perfect. My wife is celiac and chef had no problem making gluten free substitutions and still giving her a first class meal. Every wine pairing perfectly complemented the food. Our server and hostess worked as a team and both were so kind and knowledgeable. It truly felt like we were the only people in the room and received the perfect amount of attention. The restaurant itself is beautiful, warm, and classy. We can’t wait to go back!

a month agoDined here on Saturday and this was my third time coming here, last two times were during summer and hence a lot busier. I ordered their 5-course tasting menu while a few others ordered their a-la-cart menu (yup, great thing they don’t force the entire table to order tasting menu if one decides to go for it, unlike some other restaurants). Overall the food was good and the service was great (including splitting the bill precisely for my family and my friend’s. I’m highlighting this because we went to Peller Estates the next day and they couldn’t do it after trying to work out the bill for 10 minutes! 🤔). I must say I love this place.

a month agoMy girlfriend and I tried this place for a wine tasting in 2023 and were hooked from the jump. We have since become a wine member and enjoy coming here regularly for a flight of their Rieslings and a light bite. The service has always been exceptional and they host exclusive member events on a monthly basis - one of which we had the pleasure of attending this past spring which was their Spring Education Weekend. We got to try several young wines and old vintages to compare the flavour development of their best sellers over time. This also included a 3 course meal inside their restaurant (see photos). We had a blast and have always made the time to visit here on the weekend as often as we can!

4 months ago**Vineland Estates: A Culinary Delight** Our recent three-course lunch at Vineland Estates was an absolute culinary masterpiece. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning vineyard views and warm ambiance. The menu offered a delightful selection of dishes that showcased the freshest local ingredients. Our meal began with a perfectly prepared appetizer that was a symphony of flavors. The main course was equally impressive, with tender meats and vibrant vegetables that complemented each other beautifully. To finish, we indulged in a decadent dessert that was the perfect ending to our culinary journey. The attentive service and impeccable presentation of each dish made our experience even more memorable. Vineland Estates is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly exceptional dining experience in Niagara wine country.
