Vineland Estates Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario, Canada. The winery was founded in 1975 by Dr. Ivan G. Rebele, who had a passion for wine and saw the potential for producing world-class wines in the region.
The Niagara Peninsula has a unique microclimate that is well-suited to grape growing, and the region has a long history of winemaking. The region is influenced by the moderating effects of Lake Ontario, which helps to create a long growing season and relatively mild winters. This allows the grapes to fully ripen, which is essential for producing high-quality wines.
Vineland Estates Winery is situated on a 200-acre property, which includes acres of vineyards and a modern winemaking facility. The winery has several different vineyards, each planted with different grape varieties that are well-suited to the region’s climate and soil. Some of the grape varieties grown at Vineland Estates Winery include Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir.
The winery is known for producing a wide range of wines, from crisp whites to full-bodied reds. One of the winery’s most famous wines is its Cabernet franc ice wine, which is made from grapes that are left on the vine until they are frozen. This process allows the grapes to concentrate their flavors, resulting in a sweet, luscious wine with complex aromas and flavors. Vineland Estates Winery also produces a range of red wines, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, as well as white wines such as Riesling and Chardonnay.
In terms of wine making, Vineland Estates Winery uses traditional techniques and state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality wines. The winemaking team carefully monitors the grape-growing and wine-making process to ensure that each wine is of the highest quality. The grapes are hand-picked at the peak of ripeness, and are carefully sorted to remove any imperfections. They are then gently crushed and fermented, with the winemaking team paying close attention to the temperature and other factors to ensure that the flavors and aromas of the grapes are fully expressed in the finished wine.
After fermentation, the wines are aged in oak barrels to add complexity and depth of flavor. The length of aging varies depending on the wine, with some wines being aged for just a few months, while others are aged for several years. Once the wines are ready, they are bottled and labeled, and are then ready to be enjoyed by wine lovers around the world.
In addition to producing high-quality wines, Vineland Estates Winery is also committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship. The winery has implemented a number of practices to reduce its impact on the environment, including using renewable energy sources, conserving water, and reducing waste.
Vineland Estates Winery is a popular destination for wine lovers, who can visit the winery to learn more about the winemaking process, taste a variety of wines, and enjoy a meal at the winery’s on-site restaurant. The winery also has a team of highly trained wine educators who are available to lead tastings and tours of the winery for visitors.
In conclusion, Vineland Estates Winery is a leading producer of wines in the Niagara Peninsula region of Ontario, Canada. The winery has a rich history, and is known for its high-quality wines and its commitment to traditional

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning vineyard views and warm ambiance. The menu offered a delightful selection of dishes that showcased the freshest local ingredients. Our meal began with a perfectly prepared appetizer that was a symphony of flavors. The main course was equally impressive, with tender meats and vibrant vegetables that complemented each other beautifully. To finish, we indulged in a decadent dessert that was the perfect ending to our culinary journey. The attentive service and impeccable presentation of each dish made our experience even more memorable. 2 months agoHad a great set menu lunch here. High recommended. The weather was fantastic and everything we ordered on the menu was so good. The dessert was especially memorable for me! Next time would have to be on the patio!

4 months agoDelicious lunch on the patio overlooking a beautiful view of the vineyard with Lake Ontario in the distance. Prix fix menu with optional wine pairing for each course. We had both the Classic and Reserve wine pairings— both options were good but the Reserve was better and worth the extra money. We had Lobster bisque, beef carpaccio, and beet salad starters. Flank steak, pork tenderloin, and trout mains. All were excellent but Trout and pork were better than the steak. Dessert key lime cheesecake was scrumptious! Portions were just right. Level of service was good. We arrived an hour early and they were able to accommodate us. We come here every year —Make sure to make a reservation if you want the patio. Also live entertainment outside the shop where you could in the shade and sample a flight. Overall a delightful day!

2 months agoWow just an unbelievable experience for my birthday lunch, attention to detail, fantastic service, and food was out of this world. Perfectly seasoned, the wonderful flavours came out in each dish. If you love bread then definitely order the sourdough, so crunchy. We will definitely be back for dinner service very soon.
