Climate and Terrain

This high-altitude location is blessed with a dry and temperate climate, boasting average temperatures that swing between 15 to 25 degrees Celsius (59 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit). The vineyards thrive in volcanic soil, enriched by a blend of sand, clay, and limestone.

A Medley of Grape Varieties

Bodega Dos Buhos showcases a diverse range of grape varieties. The vineyards flourish with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. These vines are meticulously trained using the traditional Guyot method. This results in a low canopy, promoting adequate air circulation and sunlight exposure, key factors in preventing disease and ensuring optimal ripening.

Winemaking Process

Harvesting is an art at Bodega Dos Buhos. Grapes are handpicked and swiftly transported to the winery for processing. In homage to time-tested traditions, the winery employs minimal intervention techniques. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wines mature gracefully in French oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.
