    Enjoyed a lovely summer evening outdoor dining with friends at Trius Restaurant. The starters were a highlight—fresh bread, chicken liver pâté, and smoked salmon all received rave reviews from our group. I also tried the strawberry tart, which was visually stunning but fell a bit flat in flavour—more beautiful than delicious. For mains, the pork chop was hearty and satisfying, especially with the rich and decadent mac and cheese on the side. I opted for the halibut, which was light, fresh, and perfectly complemented by summer peas, asparagus, and fingerling potatoes—summer on a plate. I absolutely loved it. The chocolate bar dessert, while impressive in presentation, was overly rich and could have used something to cut through the sweetness. Overall, a lovely evening with gorgeous plating, and some standout dishes.

    The winery was nice, but when we came in, no one really said anything or pointed us in the right direction, so we just stood there a bit unsure. The tour itself was fine—not bad, just very general. It felt a bit short and didn’t really go into much detail about the wine-making process, etc. which we were hoping for. On the plus side, the wines we tasted were enjoyable, and our guide was friendly and welcoming once the tour started. Overall, it was a decent visit, just not as memorable as we’d hoped.

    Had such a lovely experience at Trius Winery Restaurant in NOTL. We started with their sourdough baguette and rosemary crackers served with a delicious trio of dips — everything was so fresh and beautifully presented. For the main, I had the Atlantic halibut filet, and it was cooked to absolute perfection — tender, flavourful, and paired so well with the sides. I also had a glass of their Trius Rosé, which was light, crisp, and just right with the meal. The service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome. The ambiance was peaceful and elegant, making the whole experience extra special. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

    My partner and I had the best experience at the winery tour. It was more than expected with all of the “Instagram-able” photo-ops, facts, history, and a super close look into the different parts of the winery. Barry was AMAZING and made our tour awesome from the get-go, knowing so many facts, answering tons of questions, & his warm & passionate personality did not go unnoticed. He is definitely an asset for the tours / company!!! I will definitely be recommending the tour to others. 10/10 experience!

    Best of all in NOTL. Restaurant rivals big cities. Wine was superb. Entrees were hearty but had amazing well thought out accompaniments. Prix fix. Dodger and pork chops for me beets and beef for her.
