Hester Creek Estate Winery is a picturesque winery located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. The winery has a rich history that dates back to the 1960s, when the first vines were planted on the property. Today, Hester Creek Estate Winery is known for producing a wide range of high-quality wines using a variety of grape varieties.
The Hester Creek Estate Winery property is situated on a south-facing slope, providing the vines with optimal sun exposure. The winery’s vineyards are home to several grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Gris, and Viognier. These grapes are carefully tended to by the winery’s team of experienced viticulturists, who ensure that the vines receive the proper care and attention they need to produce the best possible grapes.
One of the winery’s most famous wines is its Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is made from grapes grown in the winery’s estate vineyards and is known for its bold, full-bodied flavor. The winery’s Merlot is another popular choice, offering a smooth, velvety taste that is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes. Other notable wines produced by Hester Creek Estate Winery include its Syrah, Pinot Gris, and Viognier.
In addition to producing high-quality wines, Hester Creek Estate Winery is also committed to sustainable winemaking practices. The winery utilizes innovative techniques and technologies to minimize its environmental impact, including using solar power and drip irrigation systems.
The winemaking process at Hester Creek Estate Winery begins with the careful selection of the best grapes from the winery’s vineyards. The grapes are then harvested by hand and transported to the winery for processing. Once at the winery, the grapes are crushed and the juice is extracted. The juice is then fermented in temperature-controlled tanks, where it is transformed into wine.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of time, depending on the specific wine. During this aging process, the wine develops its unique flavors and aromas. Once the aging process is complete, the wine is bottled and prepared for distribution.
Hester Creek Estate Winery is a must-visit destination for wine lovers visiting the Okanagan Valley. The winery’s stunning location, high-quality wines, and commitment to sustainable practices make it a truly special place. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or simply looking to enjoy a relaxing afternoon sipping on a glass of wine, Hester Creek Estate Winery has something to offer everyone.

a week agoWe came here as reccomended by several other wineries so our expectations were raised, but the tasting itself fell short. Maybe it's because the tasting was complimentary, but the experienced felt very detached and rushed, as if he was waiting for us to quickly finish each sip so we could move on. We ended up buying some bottles so we definitely enjoyed the wine! Just not so much the tasting experience. They have a beautiful space outside where you can sit, sip, and enjoy a boardgame or two.

5 months agoMy husband and I toured the area and stayed at the villa for one night. Upon arrival, Melissa greeted us and showed us the room as well as how to use the satellite TV. She left us with our choice of wine. The room was very quiet and the views of the valley were beautiful. There was an electric fireplace in the room and the beds were very soft and the pillows were the best. The rooms were updated recently, and the radiant flooring in the bathroom was great. In the morning, we were given a delicious homemade breakfast of eggs and fresh fruit and potato chunks and delicious coffee. Would definitely go again.

2 weeks agoThe company is not taking responsibility for their logistics procedures. The wine consistently fails to leave the winery on time, and the delay is always blamed on ATS. I raised concerns about potential issues with ATS—specifically, that if the wine was left outside or not stored properly, it could spoil. There was no clarification or follow-up; I was simply told it was an ATS issue. When presented with the facts, they claim it is not their responsibility because they “deliver.” Lucia Franco got defensive and on the spot she fired me as a customer, after being concerns on their logistics. She blamed it on others and even if I was providing facts for them to work on resolving the problems with the delivery company, I was just told that they didn’t have to prove anything to me and it is best to part ways. It’s disappointing that after six years of excellent service, customer care for wine club members has significantly declined in less than a year. The estate winery itself is wonderful—staff are always welcoming and ensure you have a fantastic time, as do the team at the villa. However, the wine club program has significant room for improvement. My last few shipments have had recurring issues. I understand there may be a higher volume of shipments now, and I’m genuinely happy to see the winery thriving. But even so, the basics of logistics and communication need to be revisited. There is a clear lack of communication with club members. If these challenges are due to internal operational changes, it would be helpful to keep members informed. While I understand that deliveries can’t always happen on a specific date, timely communication would allow us to plan better and have realistic expectations for our shipments. When I brought this up with the new wine club manager, Lucia, I didn’t feel like a valued member. Sarah was an amazing manager and cared about customers feedback, concerns and assistance. The wines, the winery, and the broader staff continue to be excellent—I always enjoy my visits and appreciate the experience.
