Mission Hill Family Estate Winery is a popular winery located in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 1981, the winery is known for its beautiful architecture and stunning views of the valley and lake.
The winery’s history dates back to the early 1980s, when the von Mandl family purchased a piece of land in the Okanagan Valley and began planting grapevines. In 1991, the family opened the Mission Hill Winery, which quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality wines.
The winery’s vineyards are spread out over 1,200 acres and are home to a variety of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. Mission Hill Family Estate Winery is known for producing a wide range of wines, including whites, reds, and sparkling wines. Some of the winery’s most famous wines include its Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Once the fermentation process is complete, the wines are aged in oak barrels to add complexity and depth of flavor. After aging, the wines are bottled and released for sale.

a month agoWe had the pleasure of hosting our Christmas dinner at Mission Hill Winery last night, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The venue itself is breathtaking, with an elegant and intimate ambiance that made our evening truly special. The service was exceptional, with staff attending to every detail to ensure we had a seamless experience. From the beautifully plated dishes to the thoughtfully curated wine pairings, every element showcased the winery’s commitment to excellence. A highlight of the evening was the exquisite menu, featuring dishes like Vancouver Island Shrimp in a squash bisque, dry-aged beef tenderloin, and a decadent Manjari opera cake for dessert—all perfectly complemented by their premium wine selections. Mission Hill Winery provided the perfect setting for our holiday celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to wrap up the year. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable dining and wine experience!

5 months agoWe recently visited Mission Hill Winery without an appointment for a tasting, but they were able to easily accommodate our group of four (we are members). We had the pleasure of being hosted by Sofia, the ambassador, who made our experience truly exceptional. Sofia was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The tasting in the private room downstairs, surrounded by an incredible library and a spectacular wine cellar, was a highlight of our visit. Sofia's expertise shone through as she guided us through the tasting, sharing insights and stories that made the experience all the more special. The tour of the cellars and the breathtaking "Chagall Room" that followed was the perfect way to round off our visit. Sofia is an outstanding ambassador for Mission Hill, and we are so grateful for the informative and welcoming experience she provided. Thank you, Sofia, for making our visit unforgettable! An absolute five star experience!!

2 months agoWe couldn’t get a reservation for wine tour or tasting because it was sold out online. We walked in and were helped with a wine tasting with no wait at all. 5 wines for $25. The sommelier was excellent and entertaining. It would have been nice to see more of the grounds but it was very windy and snowing. Nice to stay inside!

6 months agoTasting menu with pairing is the obvious choice and is exceptional. The staff are educated and professional from the minute you arrive at the host stand. Faithe a returning staff member of 3 years and counting made the whole experience and evening a memorable one from her menu descriptions to the precise wine service.
