Poplar Grove Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Canada. The winery was founded in 1993 by Tony Holler and his wife, Linda, and it has become one of the most respected and award-winning wineries in the region.
The Poplar Grove vineyards are situated on a south-facing slope in the Naramata Bench, one of the premier wine-growing regions in the Okanagan Valley. The winery’s vineyards are planted with a variety of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah.
Poplar Grove is known for producing high-quality, handcrafted wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Okanagan Valley. The winery has gained a reputation for its elegant and balanced Chardonnays and Pinot Gris, as well as its full-bodied and structured red wines.
One of Poplar Grove’s most famous wines is its “The Legacy” red blend, which is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc, and Merlot. This wine has received numerous awards and accolades, including a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
In addition to its vineyards and winemaking, Poplar Grove is also known for its beautiful and picturesque setting. The winery has a tasting room and patio that offer stunning views of the Okanagan Valley, and it is a popular destination for tourists and wine lovers.
The winemaking at Poplar Grove is guided by the principles of sustainability and minimal intervention. The winery uses traditional winemaking techniques, such as hand-picking and sorting of the grapes, and fermenting the wines in small batches to preserve their unique character and flavors.
Poplar Grove is committed to producing high-quality wines that are expressive of the terroir of the Okanagan Valley, and it has established itself as a leader in the Canadian wine industry. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or simply enjoy a glass of wine with a meal, Poplar Grove has a wine for everyone.

2 weeks agoWe were in Penticton to cheer on family for the triathlon and then we went to the Poplar Grove winery. We went there because they have an amazing view, are close to the city and have wine and a restaurant. My wife loved their wine, and I loved their wild BC salmon lunch plate . The salmon had a great flavour and the farro salad had a wonderful crunch to it. The portion size was a bit small for me and I would have loved it to be a bit larger since it tasted so good! We got in with no reservation on a Monday but I suggest you get a reservation since it’s a gorgeous winery and setting!

a month agoLovely experience here. Our first time at this Winery as a family, we had lunch (burger, spring pea risotto, mushroom mafalde and fried chicken) there and also a wine tasting. The mushroom mafalde was the favourite dish by far and the tasting was great as well. Bria was our server and Andrea was our wine tasting specialist, both very sweet and professional ladies! Ambience 10/10, people 10/10, food 9/10. A must visit :)

a month agoStunning views with excellent food, service, and cocktails. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. We did not try the wine but the scallops were among the best I've ever had. For cocktails, I highly recommend the Cellar Door and Starting Pistol.

5 months agoSuch a great winery and restaurant! We arrived early so we could start with a stellar wine tasting in the cozy Legacy Room (request it if it's available). Menu prices here are reasonable, and the setting is intimate with pano views of the Naramata bench and valley. The wines are excellent, especially the Benchmark, Reserve Chardonnay, and Malbec. We just became wine club members, so we now get a discount on both wines and restaurant meals. Love this place!
